Lattice quadrupling for percolation in quantum networks This is a follow-on talk to Janek's Wehr's discussion of quantum networking last spring. I will briefly review lattice-doubling for improving performance in two-dimensional quantum networks (worked published by Perseguers, Wehr, et al. in 2007). I will then propose a scheme for quadrupling the three-dimensional lattice. Evaluation of both schemes requires Monte-Carlo sampling for bond percolation on the rectangular lattice. I will walk through these sampling methods at an elementary level. John Kerl Mathematical Physics Seminar October 1, 2008
