At the location http://math.arizona.edu/~kerl/html/sample-home.html you will find an HTML file which you may use to post contact information, homework assignments, etc. for your students. This is a plain-vanilla template, designed primarily for ease of use.
How to set it up on the UA math department network:
- Log in to your Unix account. If you don't know how to do this, please see http://support.math.arizona.edu.
- See the instructions in http://support.math.arizona.edu/webpages.
- Save the file sample-home.html as
index.html in
the pub_http_internet subdirectory of your home directory.
(For example, right-mouse, then "Save Link As ...".)
What appears to you as ~yourname/pub_http_internet/index.html from the command shell will appear to web users as http://math.arizona.edu/~yourname.
- Edit your new index.html file using the text editor of your choice. Plain HTML is pretty self-explanatory. Some quick-reference information is available at http://math.arizona.edu/~kerl/html/html-quick-ref.html and http://math.arizona.edu/~kerl/html/html-intro.html.
- Send e-mail to sysadmin@math.arizona.edu notifying them of your new page, so that they may link to it.
